We have a herd of about 70 to 80 steers which race is composed of a hybrid of three species is cattle: breeding females are a mix Hereford x Simmental, which gives them a high quality maternal and reproductive male is a purebred Angus. This gives a cross-bred beef and half lean with a nice marbling and tenderness good. Briefly, this genetic mixing allows us to maximize the qualities of these three breeds to produce meat delicious for all palates.
How I live
Observe the nature of the animal and respect its rhythm of fattening without antibiotics and without growth hormone are key elements of our beef production.
During the summer, our beef is raised outdoors in a pasture near buildings. They can enjoy space and fresh grass outside and during the night and the weather, they can protect themselves inside buildings.
During the winter, the entire herd is housed in a large open-plan barn. An abundant straw bedding is arranged to ensure the comfort of each individual.
What I eat
The quality of our beef stands first because it is fed with 100% organic feed, ie a mixture of legumes (clover, alfalfa, sweet clover) and grasses (timothy, brome grass meadows, high fescue , ryegrass) grown on our land. However during the winter period, we add in the diet of steers (maximum 20%) an energy source (corn silage) to ensure the thermal requirements of the animal due to the colder temperatures.
Therefore, we are therefore able to offer top quality meat, rich in vitamin E, linoleic acid (Omega 3 fatty acid) and the multiple health benefits
How do I treat myself
All the cattle we produce receive no antibiotics and growth hormone. We work primarily as a preventive. The only products we use are natural products such as apple cider vinegar with garlic, seaweed and diatomaceous earth as an anthelmintic. In case of illness, to care with homeopathic medicines.
