Rheintal Meats is a family-run business currently in its second generation, having worked in organic agriculture and livestock farming for 25 years. The name " Rheintal " comes from the farm's Swiss founder, Hans Buecheli, a Rhine Valley native. Sébastien Angers and Guylaine Buecheli are the current owners, who, along with their two lovely daughters, Alys and Méanne, form the beautiful family in charge of the farm. Over time, Sébastien and Guylaine discovered their complementarity, not only in their well-matched personalities, but in their work as well. Sébastien makes good use of his training and skills in agronomy and agriculture by taking charge of the crops and the livestock, while Guylaine, with her education in marketing, attends to getting the products on the market, as well as the accounting. The business holds strong to certain fundamental principles and continues to use an approach that is passionately hinged upon three specific values: authenticity, distinction and durability.

Our main objective is to be and to act in a genuine and authentic manner in every kind of task or activity we undertake. Thanks to the high quality of our products, our authenticity is evident particularly in their distinctive flavours, due in turn to our perfect combination of old-fashioned farming methods and of a contemporary know-how. Our animals live in an environment specifically designed for, and exceptionally conducive to, a high-end production, while we constantly concern ourselves with perpetuating an authentic know-how. At every step of the production and the transformation of the goods, we ensure a rigorous maintenance of quality, and we commit ourselves to unwaveringly offer you - the customer - an exceptional and unique product, as tasty as we can make it. With the incomparable freshness of our products, you can rejoice in the guarantee of the authentic taste of meat, as it is supposed to taste, and as it tasted in days of yore. Moreover, we insist on offering a quality service, and will answer all questions and requests in the most fair and transparent way possible.

To be a certified organic business is already quite a distinction. Nevertheless, we like to distinguish ourselves above and beyond this. This involves both a strong desire and an innovative spirit which push us to constantly discover new and improved - and more effective - ways of doing things, all the while respecting organic certification norms and guidelines, limiting our ecological footprint, and improving the comfort and the well-being of our animals. Believing in our ability to evolve and improve permits us to live unique experiences and acquire much more in-depth knowledge in our field, which in turn allows us to help create a better world for our children and all future generations. We have a strong desire to continually surpass ourselves and the intention to make important advances in - and maybe even one day to perfect - organic livestock farming practices in Quebec. We will do so with the practical knowledge and know-how of today's agronomy: an amalgamation of traditional techniques and the results of modern research.

We do not inherit the Earth from our parents, we borrow it from our children.

Antoine de St-Exupéry

This is why it is important to respect the earth, water and air through our agriculture; because they play a vital role in the health and well-being of our planet. Respecting the environment through proper agricultural practices equates respecting the future generations, who have no choice but to inhabit the world we leave them. The good people here at Rheintal Meats have over 25 years of respect under their belts: for the earth and fields we raise our crops on, for the water flowing in our streams and for the air that surrounds us. To give back to the earth what we take from it is one of our fundamental principles. In order to do so, we aim to be as self-sufficient as possible to be able to have better control over the balance between the ground, the plants and the animals. We also believe that to have a small-size family farm allows us to keep the balance between our agricultural communities and therefore to conserve the values which promote and contribute to the good health of our agricultural surroundings.
